WHERE IT ALL BEGAN…
Goodspero began its R&D phase in January 2012, receiving much of its support and mentorship from seasoned entrepreneurs at the University of Houston’s Wolff Center for Entrepreneurship at the C.T. Bauer College of Business in Houston, Texas.
Before starting Goodspero, Founders Jessica Bolaños and Nelson Vanegas each gained over 10+ years of multimedia marketing and production experience in radio, TV, social media, marketing and commercial advertisement. They’ve worked extensively and gained experience alongside various local, national and international organizations.
In August 2012, with seed funding assistance from friends, families and complete strangers, Goodspero launched a crowd-sourced/crowdfunded project to bring books and educational resources to youth in Colombia, South America. Launching an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign the following year to bring books and resources to communities in El Salvador, Central America.
Since then, Goodspero has been working alongside professionals and organizations interested in using digital and social media for social impact and community initiatives.
